Who I am
I am Catherine B. Krause, the author that this page represents. I maintain the site through a WordPress front end; I do not use wordpress.com in any way to do this.
What personal data I collect and why I collect it
I do not currently use any analytics whatsoever. In the past, anonymized analytic data used to be collected and kept for a period of 30 days via the WordPress plugin Slimstat, when users did not use the “Do Not Track” setting in their browser.
Cookies are used to remember user language choices. Sometimes calls to action are posted on the site, and cookies are used to remember whether someone has seen the call, in order to avoid showing it to them over and over again.
Though I do my best to avoid this, pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
